Tatiana Payne has served as the head coach of the Liberty University Synchronized Skating team since it's inception in 2008. She is a USFSA Double Gold Medalist in Moves in the Field & Free Skate and has 30 years of skating experience including over 20 years of coaching experience. Tatiana is a northern New York native who spent her younger years training in Montreal, QB and Lake Placid, NY under many internationally-renowned coaches. She is a professional member of U.S. Figure Skating, the Professional Skaters Association and is a registered CER Category A, Level IV Ranked coach.

During her time as head coach, she had the privilege of coaching over 100+ Liberty University skaters and has been an integral part of Liberty hosting five USFSA intercollegiate sectional competitions at our home facility, the LaHaye Ice Center. Tatiana is continually striving to grow the skating program at Liberty University through multiple means of recruitment and is working to establish Liberty University as a respected name amongst the nation's best collegiate figure skating and synchronized skating programs.

Tatiana is married to her husband of 10 years, Joshua Payne. They reside in Lynchburg, VA.
