Liberty Archery Team members placed high at Target Regionals

The Liberty University Archery team concluded the 2024-25 campaign with a strong finish at Target Regionals at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Va., on Saturday and Sunday.

The Flames were led by senior Levi Rodgers, who placed first in men's Fixed Pins and contributed to a second-place finish in the men's Fixed Pins team event alongside junior Nathan Wilkins and senior Steven Loomans.

"(Rodgers) managed to shoot his way up to the finals match," Head Coach Jason Lynch said. "So, we're really proud of him. It's a great way to end his career with Liberty Archery."

The women's team was led by junior Chole Hamilton, who placed third in Women's Barebow, and freshman Sarah Lindquist, who placed fourth in that same event. Senior Alexandra Comer finished fourth overall in women's Fixed Pins, while also competing with Rodgers to earn third place in Mixed Fixed Pins Team. Hamilton, paired with senior Dennis Johnson, placed third in the Barebow Mixed team event.

Sophomore Trevor Hill placed fifth in Men's compound, with freshman Rylee Poullath came in sixth in women's compound. Hill and Poullath competed together for a fourth-place finish in Compound Mixed Teams. Johnson finished seventh in Men's Barebow. Seventh and eighth place in Men's Fixed Pins were earned by Wilkins and sophomore Adam Pluff, respectively.
Loomans and senior Robert Holbrook placed eleventh and seventeenth, respectively, in Men's Fixed Pins.

"I'm going to miss my seniors; they are some of the staples of the team, but they left a good legacy, and we've trained some more people to eventually take their place," Lynch said.

"We should have a pretty good season next year with some recruits that are coming in to fill some spots in the roster that we're missing, and we're probably going to keep the same competition schedule in the fall and spring."
