Liberty scored four goals in the first period and posted its sixth consecutive shutout against ACHA opponents in a 7-0 conquest of Lindenwood.
The Lady Flames (10-0) outshot the Lady Lions (0-9) by a 60-17 margin and sophomore goalie Brooklyn Adams made 17 saves to record her second shutout in as many starts this season. In all, Liberty has outscored opponents, 81-5, shutting out all six of its ACHA foes — Utah (10-0, 9-0), Rhode Island (8-0, 14-0), and Lindenwood (8-0, 7-0).
After scoring five times in the third period of Friday's opener, Liberty carried the momentum into Saturday's rematch by netting four goals in the first period — by sophomore defenseman Isabella Pelletier 41 seconds after the opening faceoff, graduate forward and alternate captain Haley Battles exactly one minute later, junior forward Tristan Craig off a primary assist from Battles, and graduate forward and alternate captain Zosia Adamek, off a secondary assist from Voortman.
Voortman distributed her second assist in the second period, setting up graduate forward Isobel Pettem-Shand for a goal that extended Liberty's advantage to 5-0 at the 9:26 mark, with Pelletier contributing the secondary assist.
For the second night in a row, the Lady Flames did not commit a single penalty, and they capitalized on one of their two power-play opportunities, with graduate forward and head captain Brielle Fussy opening the third-period scoring by finishing a feed from junior forward Sophia Adamek just 56 seconds after the opening faceoff.
Graduate defenseman Allison Shaw (2 goals, 11 assists), who assisted Battles' and Craig's first-period goals, moved into a tie with Battles (8G, 5A) for the team scoring lead by capping the scoring off a feed from Voortman and sophomore defenseman Jules Lefaive with 15:00 remaining in regulation.
The Lady Flames will travel to face the only other team that has won a national title since 2018, Adrian College (2024), next Friday at 7 p.m. and Saturday at 3 p.m.
