Archery team hits targets at East Regionals in Harrisonburg

The Flames featured the gold-medal Men's Bowhunting team while junior Kayla Cassady placed second individually in Women's Recurve.

The Flames were led by senior Justin Lynn, junior Steven Loomans, and sophomore Nathan Wilkins who combined for a first-place team finish in Men's Bowhunting with a 204-point total in the final round. The same trio also qualified second in Men's Fixed Pins with an 1,818 total, led by Loomans' 622 score.
Lady Flames junior Kayla Cassady placed second in Women's Barebow, earning a silver medal for her 556-point total, and was also named to the All-East Region team for finishing ranked first in combined indoor and outdoor archery.
Lynn also finished third in Men's Fixed Pins with 606 points and earned third place in that division on the All-East Region team while freshman Alexi Comer captured third place in the Women's Fixed Pins division on the All-East team. Comer combined with Loomans to finish third in the Mixed Fix Pin competition with a 1,045 total.
Lady Flames graduate Natasha Leininger finished sixth in the Women's Recurve with 403 points.
