Cendall Murphy
- Title:
- Assistant Coach
Cendall (Manley) Murphy has been a passionate advocate for the sport of wrestling since she stepped onto the mat at just 5 years old in Molokai, Hawaii. With an impressive background as a 4X NCWA National Champion, Cendall has excelled in both freestyle and folkstyle wrestling at the collegiate level.
Since 2016, Cendall has been an integral part of the wrestling community at Liberty University, where she played a key role in establishing the women's wrestling program by competing as the first female wrestler for LU. Her dedication to the sport is matched only by her commitment to empowering young female athletes to deepen their faith in Christ. As the younger sister of Coach Charisse McIlhenny, Cendall brings a family legacy of excellence and mentorship to her coaching.
Cendall believes that wrestling parallels her walk with Christ, instilling values of character and discipline that are vital both on and off the mat. Through her coaching, she strives to train women to be strong and courageous in their faith, encouraging them to relentlessly pursue God through the pursuit of excellence in the sport of wrestling. Her love for the sport and her commitment to her athletes creates a positive and transformative environment where they can grow in both skill and character.
