Coach Rena Leone is a full-time employee with Liberty University Club Sports and is entering her fifth season as Head Coach of the Women's Division II Hockey team, a position she has held since 2021. She has been involved with the Women's Division II program for a total of ten seasons, serving as an Assistant Coach from 2014-2015 and again from 2017-2020 before being named Head Coach.
Originally from State College, Pennsylvania, Leone played competitive hockey in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, before continuing her hockey career at Liberty University. She competed for both of Liberty's women's hockey programs, playing for the Women's Division I team while earning her Bachelor of Science in Sport Management, and later skating for the Women's Division II team while completing her Master's degree in Christian Leadership.
With experience as both a student-athlete and coach within Liberty's women's hockey programs, Leone brings a deep understanding of the team's culture, values, and commitment to excellence on and off the ice.
