Andrew Medford is currently the Assistant Coach of the Air Pistol team. He became head coach of the Action team in 2023 after serving as assistant coach to Club Sports Director of Shooting Sports Bill Crawford from 2019 to 2023. His extensive background includes experience as a former LUPD sergeant overseeing the firing range and training, where he taught general firearms safety courses. Andrew stayed at the helm of the program when it was recalibrated to launch as the Air Pistol team in the 2024-25 season.
“I really enjoy the range,” said Medford, who also works as a system administrator in Liberty’s IT Department. "That’s where I’m at home.”
Under Medford's guidance, along with Crawford, the team achieved consecutive national titles in the Scholastic Action Shooting Program (SASP) in Talladega, Alabama, which incorporated rifles and pistols. In the 2021-22 season, the team shifted affiliations to the National Rifle League (NRL).
