She is a strength and conditioning coach for Liberty University’s NCAA programs. Prior to joining Liberty’s beach volleyball team, Karyl played for Liberty University's NCAA indoor women's team. Wiese was a four-year letterwinner (2007-10) on Liberty's volleyball team, helping the Lady Flames win four straight Big South regular-season titles and Big South postseason championships in 2007 and 2008. She was a two-time Big South All-Conference selection, garnering first team mention in 2010. Wiese was twice a member of the Big South All-Tournament team, and was voted to the VaSID All-State first team as a senior. She was named the 2011 Big South Woman of the Year, the third Liberty student-athlete to receive the award. Wiese is one of 10 members of Liberty's 1,000/1,000 club, currently ranking seventh in program history in digs (1,472) and 12th in kills (1,155). Wiese earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Liberty in 2011. For fun, she likes to ride her bike, spend time with her husband, and explore Virginia.
