Ian Rigney

Head Coach

Ian is originally from Gretna, Virginia but has lived in the Lynchburg area most of his life. He attended Liberty University from 2012-2017. During that time, he obtained his B.S. in Religious Studies: Theology and Apologetics and his Master of Arts in Theology. He also was an active member of the Liberty Archery team. While competing for Liberty, he was able to win 4 Nationals Championships (2012, 2013, and 2015). In 2016 he was hired as the Assistant Coach for the Archery team, and then moved up as head coach in August of 2017. As Head Coach, Ian has been able to lead the team to 2 National Championship wins in 2017 and 2018. He is currently a Pastor at Hiteburg Baptist Church in Virginia, VA and is recently married to Alysha Hazelwood.
