Coach Keating (Peabody, MA) started all four seasons for the Army Black Knights (1978-1982) accumulating 196 points (65 goals, 131 assists) while obtaining his Bachelor's degree and his commission from the United States Military Academy in West Point, NY. He also earned his Master’s degree from Webster University in 1995 and was inducted into his high school athletic hall of fame in 1996.
Coach Keating served our nation on active duty in the US Army for 20+ years as well as another 20+ years as a Department of the Army Civilian. While living in Newport News, VA, Coach Keating served as the Denbigh Baptist Christian School (DBCS) Athletic Director for 15 years and coached multiple sports earning him numerous Coach of the Year accolades, as well as leading DBCS to multiple Best Sportsmanship annual awards from both the Basketball Officials Association and the METRO Conference.
Keating started as an Assistant Coach of the Women’s Division I team in the 2024-25 season at Liberty helping to lead the team to a National Championship title in 2025.
Coach Keating and his wife, Lisa, currently reside in the Forest area. They are the proud parents of four children, their spouses, and 13 grandchildren.
