Coach Amy joined the Liberty University rowing staff in 2024 as an assistant coach, where she primarily serves the novice program. Originally from Wisconsin, she competed as a coxswain for two years at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, earning a bachelor’s degree in Sociology.
Before returning to rowing, Amy built a successful career in real estate and investment alongside her late husband, Terry. Today, she lives in Huddleston, Virginia, and is actively involved in ministry through her church in Rocky Mount. Above all, Amy is passionate about following Christ and believes coaching is a calling—an opportunity to invest in the lives of young adults, encouraging them to grow in character, confidence, and faith while pursuing excellence on and off the water. She strives to reflect the love of Jesus in every interaction and considers it a privilege to mentor student-athletes both athletically and spiritually.
The year 2025 was especially meaningful, as Amy celebrated her first national championship as a coach and had the joy of seeing her daughter, Samantha, marry. Through every season, she remains grateful for God’s faithfulness and is committed to using her gifts to serve others and bring Him glory.
