Madison Anema comes from Southern California where she coached and competed at a high level in the great sport of volleyball. She finished her collegiate career at Concordia University, Irvine ranked fourth in the program’s record book for total individual kills. She also acquired individual accolades such as NAIA First Team All-American (2012 & 2013), GSAC Conference All-American (2011-2014), Academic All-American (2010-2014) and like honors. She led her team to an NAIA National Championship in 2012 with a record of 38-0, a first for the CUI women's program.
Madi recently moved to Virginia with her husband, Liberty Women’s Volleyball Associate Head Coach Brett Anema, after years of coaching high school and club volleyball. Prior to taking on the role of Assistant Coach for our Men’s Volleyball program, Madi assisted at the local Randolph College volleyball program. One of Madi’s favorite quotes is written as follows: “God guides us into uncomfortable places because He knows most of us are too afraid to seek them out ourselves” ~ Bob Goff.
