Tatiana Payne has previously served as the head coach of the Liberty University Figure Skating team since it's inception in 2009 and is pleased to continue serving as the Associate Coach. She is a USFSA double gold medalist in Moves in the Field & Freeskate who has been skating for 30 years and has over 19 years of coaching experience. Tatiana is a northern New York native who spent her younger years training in Montreal, QB and Lake Placid, NY with many world-renowned coaches. She is a professional member of U.S. Figure Skating, the Professional Skaters Association, and she is a registered CER Category A - Level 4 credentialed coach.
During her time at LU, she has had the privilege of coaching 100+ Liberty University figure skaters and has been an integral part of Liberty hosting four USFSA intercollegiate sectional competitions at our home facility, the LaHaye Ice Center. Tatiana has a continual desire to see the skating program grow at Liberty University through multiple means of recruiting and to establish Liberty University as a respected name amongst the nation's best collegiate figure skating and synchronized skating programs.
Tatiana is married to her husband of 10 years, Joshua Payne. They reside in Lynchburg, VA.
