The Flames will also play No. 5 Ohio six times as well as No. 8 Maryville three times, No. 10 Niagara twice, and No. 1 Minot State once.
The Flames, who were eliminated by eventual national champion Adrian College in the quarterfinals on March 10, and wound up at No. 7 in the ACHA's final rankings, will face the Bulldogs four times next season, twice in Michigan on Oct. 10-11 and twice on their home ice at the LIC on Jan. 31 and Feb. 1.
"I am really excited about our schedule," Liberty Head Coach Kirk Handy said. "We've got a lot of the top teams on there, and it is definitely a very strong schedule overall."
After starting the past two seasons with home games against North Carolina State, Liberty will open the 2024-25 slate against another ACHA Division II opponent in UNC Chapel Hill on Sept. 13 at the LIC. Both the Icepack and Tar Heels will transition to the ACHA DI ranks in 2025.
The Flames will then entertain ACHA DII Southeast Region power Florida Gulf Coast University, which reached the DII Final Four in St. Louis, on Sept. 20.
Liberty will play two series against Pittsburgh, with the first opening ACHA DI play Sept. 27-28 on the road before they host the Panthers at the LIC on Feb. 14-15. Liberty will end the regular season with the fifth and sixth showdowns with Ohio at home Feb. 21-22.
The Flames have added two games against Calvin (Mich.) University, which has been ranked in the top 15 the last couple seasons since moving up to ACHA DI, to start the spring semester on Jan. 17-18.
Though it will not face Minot State four times as it has in each of the past three seasons, Liberty will face No. 5 Ohio, which knocked the top-ranked, defending national champion Beavers out of the ACHA Division I quarterfinals in St. Louis, six times.
Other highlights include the Maryville Showcase from Nov. 21-23 when the Flames will play the host Saints, Minot State, and Arizona, another team ranked in the top 15 this past season; and Midnight Mayhem games against Delaware (Oct. 4), Drexel (Dec. 6), and Niagara (Jan. 24).
