Fire on ice: Sizzle reels spark DI men's hockey ticket sales

As Liberty University's ACHA Division I men's hockey team sharpens its skates and fine-tunes its systems for the start of its 2019-20 season on Sept. 20 against Duquesne University at the LaHaye Ice Center, the Flames are promoting season ticket sales for their 21-game home schedule.
The home slate is highlighted by visits from Syracuse (Oct. 18-19), which ended Liberty's two-year run as Eastern States Collegiate Hockey League Tournament champions in the final in overtime last March 29 in West Chester, Pa., as well as ACHA powers Ohio (Nov. 8-9) and 2018 national champion Adrian (Feb. 21-22), both top-five teams in last season's final ACHA DI rankings, where the Flames ended at No. 8.
Season tickets, which start at $50 for students and $90 for adults, are available on the Liberty ticket office website. Single-game tickets go on sale Sept. 13.
Liberty features a strong returning corps of players and talented influx of recruits and transfers who are eager to contend for a third consecutive ESCHL regular-season championship and ACHA DI National Championship autobid.
A video capturing the Flames' trip to nationals in Frisco, Texas, last March 20-24, which ended with a 4-3 loss to three-time national champion Lindenwood University, provides even more inspiration for a return to Texas to compete on the ACHA's grandest stage, which will move to the New England Sports Center near Boston for the 2020-21 season.
