Keepers of the Flame: DI men's hockey's Zane Schartz

In this week's segment of "Keepers of the Flame," Liberty University's ACHA Division I men's hockey sophomore defenseman Zane Schartz explains how he lives out his testimony and strives to be a witness by meditating on Matthew 5:16: "In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven."
"That's my favorite verse because it really reminds me to be joyful and to really show others how God is working in my life," Schartz said. "By being kind to everyone, hopefully non-believers can see that I'm different and it will bring others to God and help them to grow closer to God."
He seeks to walk the walk and not just talk the talk with regards to his faith, so that he can reflect the light of Christ in all that he does, both on and off the ice.
"I just want to bring glory to God through my actions, because I know actions speak a lot louder than words," Schartz said. "I want my actions to exemplify that I'm a Christian so everyone can know that."
