First-place showings by Beginner Kaitlyn Quesinberry and sophomore Intermediate Level 2 level rider Kayla Sims on consecutive days helped lead Liberty University's Western equestrian team to a third-place team finish last weekend at Campbell (N.C.) University.
Meanwhile, Novice rider Kari Hicks, a freshman, placed first on Saturday and fourth on Sunday to move to within three points of qualifying for the IHSA Regional championships for Western riders, set for March 1 in Chatham, Va.
