Keepers of the Flame: Equestrian rider Kendall Carter

Kendall Carter, a junior from Nashville and member of Liberty University's women's equestrian Hunt Seat team, explains how her favorite Scripture verse, Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me," relates to her favorite sport.

Carter, who led Liberty's Hunt Seat team to an eighth-place finish at a show hosted by Averett University on Oct. 4 by capturing a blue ribbon and tying for the event's Champion Rider title, relies on the strength she receives from the Lord to harness the potential from every horse she rides in competition, be it a championship show horse or the wildest horse she's ever saddled.
